I began my journey as Lead Pastor of Kansas City Church in 1992. I am happily married to Abby Jerls and we have two sons, Judah and Ezra,  who bring great joy to our lives. I have an intense passion to love people and this city and that has never changed. My family can be seen doing a variety of fun things around Kansas City, including visiting the Kansas City Royals games, especially when they are playing the St. Louis Cardinals because we are a house divided when it comes to baseball! Our favorite pastime, however, is spending time at home just being together.
